Kuwait Flight Simulation Center

Today, I was invited for the grand opening event of Kuwait Flight Simulation Center in Discovery Mall. The event started off at around 1:00PM with a welcoming speech from management and then lunch. After that we all went on a tour of the center in the basement, were everyone started testing the simulators.

The Kuwait Flight Simulation Center is the largest and “first” of a kind center in the world. Real flight simulation in the latest professional simulators. You can fly an Airbus A320, A321, A330, MD11, Boeing 747, Boeing 737, Boeing 777, Cessna 172-1, a helicopter, or if you are a real adrenaline junkie, you can strap yourself into an F-16 or F-18 and dogfight with a MIG-30 in the same simulators used by NASA.

If you are a professional pilot, the center offers a number of opportunities for you to stay proficient and improve your piloting skills. The center includes a fully functional A320 cockpit and “active” Air Traffic Control. Both certified pilots and air traffic controller instructors are available to help you design your simulation, assist you in your training experience, and help you evaluate the results of the simulation.

In addition, the center includes classroom facilities, a pilot shop, a hobby shop, and coffee shop where you can take a break from your intensive experience. Courses in basic aviation skills, navigation, and air traffic communications are available to those who want to prepare to become a pilot or stay proficient in their skills, The center is open both to the professional pilot community and the general public.

Kuwait Flight Simulation Center will be officially opened tomorrow the 20th of April. I like the place and I think that everyone should check it out.
