Viber for android is finally here, but don’t get your hopes up! Its still currently under beta testing before the final release.
The android beta has the same features that the iPhone App has, plus a few bonus features, including the ability to respond to text messages without opening the app, natively viewable in-app call logs from non-Viber calls, and the ability to set Viber as the default dialer for all applications.
I haven’t had the chance to test it yet, because in order to allow the installations of a non-Market applications, you’ll need to update your android settings, and I didn’t do that yet!
Don’t forget that this VoIP Apps is a non-Market App, so you need to go to Viber website and download it from there. Or you can fill out the form and wait for a notification email from Viber for the download link information.
Those who are picked for beta testing are advised to report any issues they encounter so that they can be resolved as soon as possible. Give it a try and tell us what you think.
I love viber! i use it on my iPad almost everyday and the quality is just amazing. am just waiting for the blackberry version
I agree, I like it because its much better sound quality that other VoIP Apps.

I'd like to comment that Viber for Blackberry is planned, but it won't be ready any time soon. The reason is that Blackberry is much more technologically complex than iPhone or Android (it doesn't support VoIP basically). If we have any news, we will announce it.
