World’s First Vegetarian McDonald’s in India

The world’s second-largest restaurant chain will open its first vegetarian-only McDonald’s restaurant in India next year. The restaurant will serve entrees such as the ‘McCurry Pan’ which is packed with curried vegetables including baby corn, broccoli, mushrooms, and red bell pepper and topped with a creamy sauce.

The first vegetarian McDonald’s will open in Amritsar, northern India. McDonald’s also sells the Maharaja Mac in India which replaces beef burgers with chicken patties to cater to regional tastes and takes into account that India’s Hindu majority considers cows as sacred animals.
