The Panasonic Toughpad 5 is the latest smartphone-tablet from Panasonic, with a long-lasting swappable battery and a blocky industrial design. The device works with either Android (4.2 Jelly Bean) or Windows 8 (Embedded 8 Handheld version) operating system. The phone comes in two versions the FZ-E1 and FZ-X1.
The FZ-E1 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor running at 2.3GHz, and the FZ-X1 comes with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor running at 1.7GHz.
Both tablets come with an 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, LTE connectivity, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a hot-swappable 6,200mAh battery.
The rugged smartphone will survive a drop from 3 meters without damage, and can also survive underwater for 30 minutes at up a maximum depth of 1.5 meters. Watch the video below to learn more about the product.
