Larry and Theresa Thompson from Fort Wayne, Indiana have covered their 1949 Cadillac Series 62 ‘Penny’ with more that 38,000 Cents ($382.95 coins worth).
The coins, which were all stuck on by hand, add more than 14 pounds (about 6.35 kg) in weight to the car.
The couple bought the car in 1999 after seeing an advertisement and decided to start with their coin project, which took six weeks to finish, after noticing the color similarity with the little penny.
Now, Larry and Theresa use the car at weekends and in the summer as well as displaying it at multiple shows.
