To celebrate the Chevrolet small-block engine’s 60th anniversary, Hagerty Insurance have collaborated with Thirlby Automotive to restore the iconic V-8 engine. They ripped apart a well-used engine from a 1970 Impala convertible and rebuild it back up from scratch.

The Chevrolet small-block engine is a series of automobile V8 engines built by the Chevrolet Division of General Motors, began in the fall of 1954 for the 1955 model year and has discontinued in 2003. It has powered tens of millions of passenger cars, trucks, race machines and boats.
