Worlds First Mobile Phone in 1938?

This is not an April fools joke! A black and white film from 1938 shows a woman talking on a wireless device at a factory in the United States, claimed to be a time traveler, but her family says otherwise. According to Daily Mail, a YouTube user has come forward to claim that the woman in the clip is their great grandmother, and that she was really using a mobile phone, but it’s a prewar prototype developed by a communications factory in Leominster, Massachusetts.

The footage was shot more than 40 years before the first mobile phone. But the question is, why did it take all these years for this technology to get to us? Watch the video footage below.

The Mophie juice pack helium is an ultra-thin battery case, thinner than any of the company’s previous battery packs. It gives up to 80 percent more battery life for the iPhone 5, adding an additional 1500 mAh battery capacity to the device 1440 mAh internal battery capacity, bringing total battery capacity for phone and juice pack to nearly 3000mAh. That’s enough to boost the device’s talk time up to 6 hours on 3G, or provide another 6 hours of browsing, 7 hours of WiFi browsing, 30 hours of audio playback or 7 hours of movie watching, according to Mophie.

It also features an LED power indicator and a standby switch, and its microUSB charging port allows users to charge both the juice pack and the iPhone 5.

Mophie says the dark metallic version will begin shipping on February 25, while the silver model will ship in the beginning of March. The juice pack helium is available for for $80.
