Urine-Powered Generator Invented By Four African Girls

Four African teenage girls have created the world’s first urine-powered generator. The girls’ invention premiered at the Maker Faire Africa in Lagos, Nigeria.

According to the Maker Faire, the urine is put into an electrolytic cell, which separates out the hydrogen, then hydrogen goes into a water filter for purification, which then gets pushed into the gas cylinder. The gas cylinder pushes hydrogen into a cylinder of liquid borax, which is used to remove the moisture from the hydrogen gas. This purified hydrogen gas is pushed into the generator.

The urine-powered generator produces 6 hours of electricity per single liter of urine. Thats amazing!! Well, I guess this invention might come in handy one day.
