FBI’s Most Wanted Hacker Arrested in Thailand

Thai police have arrested Algerian computer hacker Hamza Bendelladj (24) who is on the U.S. FBI’s most wanted list for allegedly making hundreds of millions of dollars by hacking banks’ websites. Bendelladj is accused of hacking into 217 banks and financial services companies around the world and stealing funds for personal gain.

On Monday, the police have confiscated two laptops, a tablet computer, a satellite phone and a number of external hard drives from Bendelladj.

The FBI had been pursuing Bendelladj for nearly three years, he will be extradited to the U.S. state of Georgia, where a district court has issued an arrest warrant.
