Barbie Cafe Opens in Taiwan

The world’s first Barbie-themed restaurant has opened in Taiwan for fans of the iconic doll, one of the busiest shopping districts in the capital, Taipei.

The cafe’s decoration, which costs 1.7 million dollars, is mostly made in suitably Barbie-style magenta and pink. The serving staff are loosely styled like Barbie dolls, wearing glittery tiaras atop their heads.

The Barbie-themed restaurant has been licensed by the US toy manufacturing giant Mattel and is operated by Taiwan-based Sinlaku.
