Michael Paul Smith has created a photograph of Elgin Park, a fictional miniaturized town from the 1950s. Smith says Elgin Park is based on his hometown, Sewickley, PA., a small town seven miles north of Pittsburgh.
Michael began taking the lifelike photos of his tiny town a few years ago using nothing but natural light and inexpensive 6 megapixel digital camera. He’ll stage scenes outside in front of real backgrounds, or set them up on tables inside his cramped apartment in Winchester, Massachusetts.
Michael has been sharing his incredible work through his Flicker.
