A thief attempted to snatch a woman’s gold necklace during an interview in broad daylight.
In the video clip, the woman was complaining about the lack of police presence near Rio de Janeiro’s main train station when the bold thief approaches her from behind and rips off her gold necklace. The thief only succeeded in breaking the chain and ran away empty handed.
Reporter Eduardo Tchao from RJTV is seen chasing after the young thief, but he is too quick and escapes by running into oncoming traffic.
