A research and development team in China has created a battery-operated Air Umbrella, which replaces the traditional fabric umbrella with an airflow force field.
The battery powered jet airflow umbrella has been designed to suck air through the bottom and shots it to the top in a pattern that mimics the standard canopy.
The device is still under testing and research stage, but the developers say they will start manufacturing next year, and supporters can expect to receive their products by December 2015.
This Air Umbrella is a Kickstarter project with a $10,000 goal, which has so far raised more than $73,855.
