Security camera footage of a former southern Kentucky police officer accidentally shot off his finger with a loaded weapon handed to him by a gun store employee. The officer has filed a lawsuit against the store, claiming that the employee failed to conduct the appropriate safety check.
Darrell Smith asked to see a .380-caliber handgun when he visited the gun store. The employee retrieved a weapon from beneath the glass display counter and handed it to Smith, who then blew his own finger clean off. Watch the security footage from store in the video below.
