George Hotz, a 26-year-old hacker, has built his own self-driving car that teaches itself to drive like a human. Hotz’s car, an adapted Acura called the Comma.ai, using an onboard laser system, cameras, and software written by Hotz to adapt how the car operates based on the experience of a human driving it.
At the age of 17, Hotz aka “geohot,” was the first person to hack Apple’s iPhone and unlock it for any carrier. He also hacked the hard-core defense systems in the Sony PlayStation 3 and crack that open, too.
