Apple iPad 2

Apple iPad 2 looks like a great upgrade over the original iPad. All in a thinner, lighter design, and faster than the original iPad.

The iPad 2 is an iteration in terms of its core specs. Here’s everything you need to know about the new iPad 2.

Dual-Core A5 Chip

Two powerful cores in one A5 chip mean iPad can do twice the work at once. You’ll notice the difference when you’re surfing the web, watching movies, making FaceTime video calls, gaming, and going from app to app to app. Multitasking is smoother, apps load faster, and everything just works better.

Battery Life Stays The Same

The iPad 2’s battery life is apparently not limited by the new design, it has the same 10 hour battery life as before, with a month of standby time.

Two Cameras

Two cameras for FaceTime and HD video recording. You’ll see two cameras on iPad, one on the front and one on the back. They may be tiny, but they’re a big deal. They’re designed for FaceTime video calling. Like the iPhone 4’s rear snapper, it takes 720p video.

Superfast Graphics

With up to nine times the graphics performance, gameplay on iPad is even smoother and more realistic. And faster graphics help apps perform better, especially those with video.

LED-backlit Display

LED backlighting makes everything you see remarkably crisp, vivid, and bright. Even in places with low light, like an airplane. It’s designed to show off everything in portrait and landscape, so with every turn (even upside down), the display adjusts to fit. Because it uses a display technology called IPS (in-plane switching), it has a wide, 178° viewing angle.

Smart Cover

The iPad smart magnetic cover falls perfectly into place and stays put to protect your iPad screen, yet doesn’t add bulk to its thin, light design.

Apple will launch the second generation of the iPad on Friday, March 11.

  1. Nice! I love the idea of the cover… Hmm What do u think Bu Nasser when u compare this to other similar products? Which one prevails? 🙂

  2. I like this iPad, but I don't like to be restricted by a program/software that makes it difficult for me to access the folders like picture, media files etc. And thats my only problem.

I am a Galaxy Tab guy or maybe even Blackberry Playbook soon inshalla 🙂
