Hop is a hands-free smart suitcase that follows the traveler around automatically via Bluetooth. The suitcase utilizes receivers to help identify and triangulate signals coming from the user’s smartphone in order to follow at just the right pace.
In the event of a lost signal, the user is alerted on their smartphone by vibration and suitcase locks itself in position waiting for its rescue. As for the name “Hop”, it’s actually derived from the term bellhop. The Hop suitcase is created by a Madrid-based designer Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez.
