GoPro is planning to start producing its own camera-sporting drones, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The California-based firm intends to start selling multi-rotor helicopters equipped with high-definition cameras in late 2015, aiming for a price tag between $500 and $1,000.
GoPro action camera could easily become the brand name with the most name recognition in the growing consumer drone market. It will be interesting to see if existing drones companies change their strategy once they’re competing directly against the GoPro.
