Samsung under fire as Consumer Reports claims Samsung Galaxy S7 Active model advertised as being ‘water resistant’ actually isn’t. In two recent tests, water caused blinking screens and ruined cameras. The device don’t appear to be able to withstand their advertised water-resistance of 30 minutes in 5 feet of water.
Just to make sure that they didn’t somehow get a faulty device, researchers took the test again. Both devices fail to comply to the tests.
Even after testing, the researchers gave these devices two days time to dry out, and the situation still did not improve. Both devices eventually became completely non-responsive and neither recovered.
