As I mentioned in an earlier post, that the original James Bond Aston Martin DB5 will go up for auction in Sotheby’s London.
Well, the car was sold yesterday for £2.6 million. A spokesman for the auctioneer said: “It’s still a lot of money and I don’t think anyone’s disappointed.”
The 1964 DB5 – dubbed the most famous car in the world – was bought at an auction for well under the guide price of £3.5m.
American broadcasting boss Jerry Lee bought the DB5 for just over £8,000 in 1969 and since then it has spent much of its time in the United States. Watch the video below.
