EVO magazine founder Harry Metcalfe drives the £1.2 million Aston Martin One-77 Hypercar on UK roads. The One-77 is similar to the DB9 and the Vanquish, but the V-12 engine has been enlarged to 7.0 liters and turns out 650 horsepower. The aluminum structure is replaced with a carbon-fiber composite hull, and the body is clothed in a new aluminum skin. Only 77 Aston Martin One-77s have been produced and that number is likely to never grow.

Aston Martin announces the launch of a new iPhone app Aston Martin Explore, designed to bring the exclusive world of Aston Martin to owners and enthusiasts alike through their iPhone.
The Aston Martin Explore app invites users to discover exclusive content such as a completely authentic virtual tour of the company’s Gaydon headquarters in the UK, including design and manufacturing facilities plus access to never before seen images and sound clips.
The Aston Martin Explore app is available to download for free from the iTunes app store NOW, with the premium Experience app and iPad apps to follow in early 2011.
Well, the car was sold yesterday for £2.6 million. A spokesman for the auctioneer said: “It’s still a lot of money and I don’t think anyone’s disappointed.”
The 1964 DB5 – dubbed the most famous car in the world – was bought at an auction for well under the guide price of £3.5m.
American broadcasting boss Jerry Lee bought the DB5 for just over £8,000 in 1969 and since then it has spent much of its time in the United States. Watch the video below.
