Co-founding of Tesla Motors and PayPal, billionaire Elon Musk has unveiled a transportation concept that could shoot passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco in 30 minutes.
Travelers enter an floating aluminium capsule that could travel through a large steel tube, reaching a speeds of up to 1,290 km/h (800 mp/h). These images below show sketches of the passenger transport capsule and how it would look travelling through the steel tubes.
Musk has been dropping hints about his system for more than a year during public events, mentioning that it could never crash and would be immune to weather.
During a Tesla earnings call on Thursday, Musk said he is too focused on other projects to consider actually building the Hyperloop.
