Car Melting Skyscraper Finally Fitted With Shades

A London skyscraper that made headlines for melting cars last year has been fitted with shading in an effort to prevent more damage.

The concave design of the Walkie Talkie tower caused the sun to shine direct rays of light onto the street below and damaged several cars, including a Jaguar XJ. But now workers have fitted the 525ft building with shades known as a ‘brise soleil’ to deflect the sun’s rays.
