The shroud of secrecy surrounding the 24th instalment in the James Bond franchise has finally been lifted on Thursday.
It was officially announced at Buckinghamshire’s Pinewood Studios that Daniel Craig would be reprising his role as 007 in the latest film in the saga. The movie will be directed by Sam Mendes, which is scheduled to begin shooting over a seven month period starting from Monday.
Daniel Craig will be joined by a star-studded returning cast that includes Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw and Rory Kinnear.
The movie will take Bond from his base in London to Mexico City, Rome and Tangier and Erfoud, both in Morocco, as well as locations in Austria.
The New James Bond ‘Spectre‘ is set to be released in the UK on 23 October 2015.
The sleek new Aston Martin DB10 was also unveiled at the official photocall and will be the car of choice for the super suave spy. The car was made at Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters and celebrates 50 years since Sean Connery first drove the iconic 1964 DB5 in Goldfinger.
