Dubai unveiled plans to build the world biggest mall “Mall of The World“, complete with theme park, theatres, apartment buildings, five miles of covered streets and 100 hotels. The mall itself will cover eight million square feet, connecting with a host of attractions to create a temperature-controlled pedestrian city.
The ambitious project is expected to attract 180 million visitors a year, complete with theatres to rival the West and Broadway, the world’s largest indoor theme park and a wide boulevard modelled on Barcelona’s Ramblas.
Dubai is racing to develop additional infrastructure needed to accommodate a surge in visitors expected when it becomes the first Middle Eastern city to host the World Expo in 2020. Watch the demo video of the project below.
