Shisha Lounges Onboard Emirates A380 Fleet

Emirates Airlines announced that its planning to trial new shisha lounges aboard its Airbus A380 fleet. The passengers will be able to pre-order a shisha from the onboard menu while at their seat and retire to the lounge after the main meal.

The Dubai-based airline revealed that the lounges would be available to business and first class passengers on several of its long-haul routes flown using Airbus’ superjumbo, starting from next month.

Update: According to CNBC Arabiya, The Emirates has received several calls regarding smoking shisha onboard their A380 fights, which is not true and was denied by the company.

The Company is one of the first companies in the Middle East and the world that have banned smoking on board their flights, and will not allow or accept any type of smoking on board its fights.

Outback Steakhouse in Dubai

On my short business trip to Dubai I had the chance to stop by the Australian-themed American restaurant Outback Steakhouse at Dubai Mall and tryout their famous Bloomin’ Burger.

The restaurant’s menu is full of amorous-sounding dishes, but I simply couldn’t resist not to try the Bloomin’ Burger. Its topped with Bloomin’ crispy onion pearls, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and the Bloomin’ secret Onion sauce. The burger just tastes amazing, something about the beef or the way it’s prepared, I’m not sure, but it was amazing.

I ordered the Classic Mojito, it was the right drink to have with this delicious burger. The lime mint drink was very soothing and refreshing, so I ordered two drinks, I usually have one drink and thats it. I also wanted to try the famous Bloomin’ Onion appetizer, but I was afraid that I won’t have a spot for the burger. Ohh and I loved the sweet brown bread and butter!

The food was excellent and the pricing was reasonable, about 83 AED (6,400 KD) for the Bloomin’ Burger and 2 Classic Mojito. I am very pleased with the quality of the food and service and I highly recommend anyone who loves burgers to give this restaurant a try when you’re in Dubai.

Last week, Dubai Police unveiled the Lamborghini Aventador patrol car. Its images went viral online. Now two more cars have been added to join the growing fleet of high performance police cars, the Ferrari FF and the Chevrolet Camaro. So whats next? Bugatti Veyron??

Dubai’s police force has bought a Lamborghini Aventador to take drastic measures in the fight against many fast vehicles racing around the city of Dubai. The Italian supercar has 700 horsepower, top speed of 349 km/h and has a price tag of around $400,000.

Range Rover Covered with 57,412 Coins

A Dubai-based car company covered a Range Rover with 57,412 coins from all over the GCC countries, the car was designed in celebration of UAE national day. Some sources say that the car weighs an extra 170 kilos courtesy of the different coins which are glued to the body. You can also see Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and UAE flags as well as the pictures of the leaders of the countries on the cars body and windshield. World’s Tallest Hotel Opens in Dubai

The JW Marriott Marquis Dubai officially opened last Wednesday as the world’s tallest hotel, verified by the Guinness Book of World Records. The $106 billion hotel is a 72 floors, 355 m (1,165 ft) twin-tower skyscraper complex, run by Marriott International.

The towers each have 804 rooms (total of 1608 rooms), nine restaurants, five bars, lounges, two ballrooms, a spa and health club. There’s also a 30m swimming pool on the seventh floor and the Vault Lounge, on the 71st and 72nd floors, has panoramic views of the city.

Rooms rates start at $319 and each tower has presidential suites, 506 king rooms, 22 executive king rooms, 156 twin rooms, 118 corner suits, four rooms for disabled travelers.

The hotel comprises 14 food and beverage outlets, rooftop bars, a business center, conference halls and meeting rooms, an extensive banquet hall, a 3,700 m2 (40,000 sq ft) spa and health club, as well as retail outlets, a swimming pool, and a gymnasium.
