Traffic signals depicting pedestrians in dresses have been unveiled in the Australian city of Melbourne as a 12-month trial backed by the Committee for Melbourne. They hope the city’s pedestrian crossings will eventually have an equal number of female and male walking signals in a push for gender equality. Via: Herald Sun

A crosswalk button with actor Jimmy Stewart‘s voice to guide pedestrians across the streets. The crosswalk button is installed at Philadelphia Street in Indiana, Pennsylvania, the home town of the actor.
