A red hot lava ‘Fire Hose’ causes a massive explosion in the Pacific Ocean off the Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii. The ensuing steam explosions occurred Jan. 28 and Jan. 29, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Watch the video below. via: Live Science

Satlapse: Bird’s-Eye Aerial Time Lapse Cinematography

UK-based photographer Jamie Brightmore posted a time-lapse video of a bird’s-eye aerial footage taken with a DJI Phantom 2 drone hovering about 400 feet off the ground above London. The video is part of a new technique called “Satlapse”, developed by Brightmore, which appears to look like a high resolution satellite image.
