Kuwait will be hosting Red Bull Neymar Jrā€™s Fiveā€™s international tournament which was launched in 2016, the Brazil and Barcelona great Neymar Jr is giving thousands of young football players the chance to step up their game by staging a unique knockout tournament starting on May 2nd. Fresh from his nomination for Fifaā€™s World Player of the Year award last week, Neymar invites players at the ages of 16 to 25 years in more than to team up for his five-a-side tournament, ā€˜Neymar Jrā€™s Fiveā€™.

The qualifying process will start this month in several areas in Kuwait, such as Hassan Abul courts (on 2nd ā€“ 3rd May) and Goal! courts at Fahaheel (11th ā€“ 12th May), Shaab (15th ā€“ 16th May), Jahra (19th May) followed by Kuwait University ā€“ Adailiya (23rd May). The 16 qualified teams will compete during the final game held on Thursday 26th May. Later, Kuwaitā€™s winning team will participate in the World Final held in Brazil to compete with the other teams from around the world, advancing to the finals in July in Praia Grande, where Neymar Jr. grew up, started his professional career and lately founded ā€œInstituto Projeto Neymar Jrā€.

The world final will be held in July at the Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The instituteā€™s aim is to offer extracurricular educational and sporting activities to the most socially disadvantaged children and families to promote social inclusion and encourage participation in the community. The Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr was opened in 2014 and is the second ‘FutbolNet’ program in Brazil in partnership with FC Barcelona Foundation after a first was set up in the favelas in Rio de Janeiro two years earlier.
