Warning Labels for Energy Drinks in Kuwait

I remember when Power Horse came to Kuwait mmm maybe 10 or 9 years ago I used to drink 3 or 4 a day!! Yes I was super addictive to it, I don’t really know if they gave me energy or I just liked drinking them! I remember everyday after my hour walk I had to have one it refreshed me big time!! Then when I started my diet I had to stop and go to Red Bull sugar free and I had to cut back to one can a day! But that was to much as well, I still drink it but now not daily!

What really drove me crazy is when I saw kids walking around drinking Red Bull, Monster, Power Horse or any energy drink! In the past, you walk in any super market you see all kinds of energy drinks and no restrictions on them! Lately, Sultan Center and some Co-op put a warning label that says “energy drinks only allowed for 16 and above”!! And thats for Red Bull only. I think that all energy drinks should have a health warning labels on them just like cigarettes. Some people may think that it wont help, but at least it can have beneficial effects, including raising awareness of potential health risks.

Energy Drinks have become the big thing lately we have so many different drinks! But the question here is: Do they really give us energy? Or are they simply just addictive?

Nawaf Al Safi Dominates Red Bull Kart Fight in Kuwait

Nawaf Al Safi clinched the 2012 Red Bull Kart Fight title in Kuwait which was held at the exterior parking of the 360 Mall. The event held in collaboration with the Quarter Mile Club of Kuwait and with the sponsorship of Nissan Al-Babtain proved to be action packed and entertaining as a large number of Motorsport spectators enjoyed the thrills and spills of Karting.

Al Safi scored a treble after controlling the qualifying session as he managed to get pole position. He started the race first and managed to keep his position until the end of the race, although he faced some fierce competition from Mohamed Al Jassem who managed to finish a deserved second 3.149 seconds behind. Third place went to Al Baraa Al Nafisi. Fastest lap went also to the winner who was the quickest person all day with 25.932 seconds.

Al Safi who will now represent Kuwait at the World Final on December 8 and 9 in Bologna, Italy said: “I’m extremely happy to win; I was expecting to win although the competition was tough. I managed to win Race 1, took pole position and managed to lead the final race from start to finish. I thank Red Bull for organizing a unique event and format and we them for more. I will be ready to fight for the title in Italy.

The Red Bull Kart Fight in Kuwait started on Friday November 23 as 200 amateur Kart drivers between the age of 13 and 40 participated in the qualifying day. Only 20 made it to the finals.

During the World Final, champions from 20 countries including Kuwait will show their talent in an event open to the international media as well as race fans and supporters. The World Final will take place on December 8 and 9, 2012, at the Bologna Motor Show – Italy’s most prestigious Motorsport fair.

Karting drivers in Kuwait gear up to experience the feeling of a real race; the adrenaline leading in to the minutes before departure, the intoxicating mix of burnt rubber, race fuel and the thrill of the grid departure. Red Bull Kart Fight is coming to Kuwait with the cooperation of Quarter Mile Club, to find the one that will defend the national colors in the World Final in Bologna, Italy on December 8 and 9.

If you’re between the age of 13 and 40 and think you have what it takes to be a champion, then set your fastest lap on November 23 at the specially built track at the 360 Mall outdoor parking.

The Red Bull Kart Fight Final on November 24th, 2012 gives the fastest 20 time setters on the 23rd of November, the opportunity to battle it out wheel-to-wheel for the Kuwait spot in the World Final, where champions from 20 countries demonstrate their talent in an event open to the world’s media as well as race fans and supporters – a fantastic festival of speed and international competition.

Red Bull Flugtag 2012

The 3rd Red Bull Flugtag in Kuwait which started at 1:00PM yesterday was held under the patronage and presence of Major-General Faisal Al Jazzaf, General Director of the Public Authority for Youth and Sport in Kuwait.

More than 20,000 fans gathered to watch Red Bull Flugtag’s triumphant return to Kuwait. 29 teams took it to the skies above the Marina Crescent water.

Dragon Fly team the 2010 winner successfully defended their title after scoring 176 points (a record in Kuwait). The winners achieved a flying record in Kuwait with 16 meters. They also managed to win the creativity prize after scoring 46 points out of 50.

Second place went to the phoenix team with 140 points while the newly comers the Kangaroos managed to take third place.

Red Bull Flugtag Teams Gathering

The Red Bull Flugtag 2012 selected teams gathered on Monday at Safir Fintas Hotel to get the first instructions for the 3rd Red Bull Flugtag which will take place in Kuwait at the Marina Crescent on Friday October 19.

During the gathering, the teams were briefed about the Flugtag history, the rules and regulations as well as the location setup.

Flugtag or Flying Day in German is now in its second phase, known as the “Construction Phase”, which means that the 46 selected teams will have around two months to turn their fantasy into reality by building the craziest, wackiest and most fun flying machines before they take-off from the Marina Crescent on October 19 at 1:00pm.

Have your boarding pass ready because Red Bull Flugtag is set to launch soon and one of the 46 teams will be the brave successor of Leonardo Da Vinci and the Wright Brothers.
