38-year-old Mandy Sellars suffers from an extremely rare condition, which made her legs and feet three times their normal size. She even had her massive left leg amputated after it became infected with septicaemia. But the stump soon started growing again and within three years measured a meter in circumference and weighed 3stone.

Mandy has now been told it has no name after genetic testing revealed it was the first case of its kind in the world.
Over the past year, Dr Robert Semple has mapped her DNA from blood and tissue samples. Mandys’ presumed she had a rare form of Proteus Syndrome – the condition that affected the Elephant Man.

Dr Semple’s team have come up with a medication aimed at replacing her unique mutated gene with a therapeutic gene. Mandy has been taking the medication since last septemper. Since then, she noticed that the limbs have started to shrink a little, she said “I just kind of accepted my condition would get worse and keep growing but I am more optimistic following the discovery.” Watch the video below.

Lost Vulture Spotted in Kuwait

A rare large Vulture have been spotted sitting on a traffic sign in Al-Zahra Area. Some say the huge bird fled from one of the houses in the area. The vulture, which is not native to a country like Kuwait, is usually seen picking on the carcass of dead or dying animals in a wild western movie or an African safari. Watch the video below.

Swiss Army Pocket Knife with 1TB Flash Drive

The Victorinox Swiss Army knife introduced two new portable storage devices at the Consumer Electronics Show on Monday. The company unveiled the Slim 3.0 USB drive and the SSD pocket-knife and thumb-drive combo. The Slim 3.0 USB offers faster read and write speeds than a 2.0 USB flash drive and will be available in 128GB capacity. The SSD will be offered in a variety of storage models, ranging from 64GB to one terabyte. The device will come equipped with two knife bodies and the other includes traditional Swiss Army Knife implements of a blade, scissors, and screw driver.

The one terabyte drive will also feature a built-in monochrome LCD so that you can see what’s on the drive. Both devices will be available in April 2012, Victorinox has not yet released information on pricing.

A very rare SwissFlame and Campflame made by Victorinox, that was manufactured for only a couple of years (from 2002 until 2005). The SwissFlame adds a butane gas lighter to the Climber model, while the CampFlame adds the lighter and a small screwdriver to the Camper model.

If you’re thinking of buying one, you can find them from an Australian online sellers “Army Surplus Stores” for $129.50 AUD, which is an equivalent of 37.950 KWD, that’s pretty reasonable price for a rare Swiss Army knife.
